This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Hmmm.. If Alex stalls.. does that mean it has a better chance of going NE or more to the NOrth up the coast?

If it stalls, it has a better chance to move northeast...need to look at the images first to see if has actually stalled. :)

If it's moving at all, it's just drifting. It seems like it's drifting more northeasterly at this point. But this thing has had a history of little movement. It's a good thing it's not say 80 miles northwest of it's present position or we would potentially have a flood disaster on our hands. A 5 mph forward speed= 2 feet or more of rain should this be near land. So we can count our blessings so far in this situation.

I think it's still moving at it's pace...that's only a 45 minute loop...so @5mph, it won't look like it's moving.

Looks like it's drifting north, maybe NNE towards the SC/NC border.

I know that the SW winds are supposed to push Alex along, but the longer Alex hangs around , the more worried I would be if I was a resident or tourist along the Carolina Coastline.

I'd call it a meander... kinda wobbling N and E.

Have to agree with this assessment. Looks like a slow NE drift to me.

Weird here, warm gust, then a cool breeze behind it. Waiting on another wide band of rain to come across...
