any reason why the GOM disturbance is the first listed there?

Probably just the closeness of the system in the GOM vs. the one east of the Bahamas. Their base is located in Biloxi, MS.

The reason is because the invest into the GOM system is before the Bahamas system(by one hour).

Actually, the time is listed as Z (Zulu time) which is the same as UTC or Universal Time. So, the time is universal and doesn't have to do with time zones. They will be going to the GOM at 1pm ET (12pm CT) and the W. Atlantic at 2pm ET (1pm CT).

Anyway, it doesn't matter at what time they're going there. What's important is that they are going there and I'm afraid they'll find more than just low pressure systems.[/b]
