Development possible in E. Gulf!!!

Read the TWO at the NHC site.

Get ready- we may have something- a lot of the models "like it".

At this point none of the models develop it significantly except maybe the ETA. See my post in the thread about "Anyone notice the rotation".

A lot has to do with Avila going off duty and Franklin coming on.

Sometimes I miss the "Angel of Death" :-)

There isn't really a whole lot there at the moment......but it has a better chance than the other model storm to the E of the Bahamas; GOM will have generally favorable winds, shear is terrible E of the Bahamas, and the quick reduction of that on the models showing the E Bahamas system seems horribly unrealistic.

The interesting thing is that the models showing somethin in the E Gom also show the E of the Bahamas thing.

I just switched back and forth from our 2 local Mets, and one said to keep CLOSE eye on it, the other sorda just brushed it off and it would head west and take alot of the moisture from the panhandle area with it around Monday.

Intersting to say the least. Just hope it doesn't go POOF tonight.

Why must some get so darn politically correct? Not one of us want any damage from a storm of any kind. There is NO HARM in tracking one Derek. Please!

i agree, no one wants damage, and yes I think everyone on this board would like to track them. Only problem there is, we can't control how strong they can get. Having said that, I could handle a wet depression, or even a 50 mph ts, with no problem. And for those who live where the ocean is in your back door, they all knew that when they moved there. Kinda like living by an airport, or a nuclear plant (where there is one 20 miles from where I live). Nevertheless, I don't believe there is any nut on here that wants extreme damage or loss of life. Besides, here in w. central fla. we get trees knocked down all the time somewhere in the state during the summer from these thunderbumpers.

come one, you know me better than that to say that I am politically correct, lol.

In all seriousness, let this get into the GOM and do whatever it wants then. I just dont want a morning surprise when I wake up, making my morning rush hour drive that much more dangerous

Looks like an interesting situation. Some models seem intent on heading the current blob west and then north due to an approaching trough. Same game, wait-and-see.

I'm sure not all that enthused about something going POOF over my house either. Its something to watch over the next few days.

"Angel of Death".....hehehehehehe

Time will tell IF and where this goes. If something does develop, the front coming down will play a part

I am in SW Florida... Truly how strong could it get? We had rain for 5 hours today. Urban flood advisory and cars getting stuck in the water. All we need is a rain maker!

well, that too. I have some data to sift through yet, comparing a shear correlation/intensity change correlation to a PW/IC correlation (and was delayed by an internet failure today, which prevents me from seeing when storms made landfall; thus, to avoid contaminating the sample set, nothing could get accomplished
