I'm new to this site and just wanted to say howdy to everyone. I.ve had a love/ hate relationship with storms for years. I've seen several waterspouts and even a tornado, but my experiences with hurricanes have been my most memorable. I've been through several hurricanes in my lifetime, including being in the RFQ of HUGO when it made landfall in Charleston, SC. Looking forward to learning more about these awesome storms on this site. From what i've read already, seems like a great bunch of folks here.

Thanks for the welcome ya'll. Actually Stormsfury, I'm from Awendaw, I don't have enough blue blood in me to be a real Charlestonian!
Swimdude, Hugo was one heck of a wild ride...i was a jackazz for staying and putting my wife and newborn baby in harm's way like that, but none of us that stayed ever imagined it could be that bad
. I'll probably stay for the next one too, but not my family. Lesson learned.
