Can you imagine this 2004 season doing the same as the 1941 season when the first storm formed yes on 9/11 and only it was a 2 month season September and October. But look at the tracks some of the only 6 systems on that year took where Florida was a target. Also to note the CV season was dead that year.I am posting this only for information only but please dont begin to say that cycloneye is downplaying the season because I am not at all as a matter of fact my 13/8/3 numbers that I forecasted at april 15 will stand firm and not change during the whole season.
Imagine this 2004 season like 1941

Well, if it was this year...
Tropical Storm Alex would hit Texas at about 45 mph.
Hurricane Bonnie would hit Texas at 90 mph.
Hurricane Charley would spin off the US East Coast as an 80 mph storm.
Hurricane Danielle would batter Honduras as a 120 mph storm.
Hurricane Earl would strike South Florida as a DESTRUCTIVE category 3 storm causing billions of dollars in damage. It would then strike the Panhandle as a category 1 hurricane.
Finally, A weak Tropical Storm Frances would hit the West coast of Florida at 50 mph.
Sounds like Hurricane Season 2004 would be rather destructive.

It shows that you dont have to have an active season to have many landfalls but with only 6 named systems at 1941 the % of landfalls was way up.It only takes one to then have all the damage.
