New member that loves to track the world's greatest storms!

#1 Postby LA Storm Tracker » Mon Jul 26, 2004 4:12 pm

I am new to this message board. In the world wide web of tropical weather discussion, this is the best message board that I have found to discuss the awesome fury of these storms.
I look forward to posting & discussing the hurricane season with all of you. I have been tracking these storms since I was 7 or 8 years old with my grandfather. I am many years removed from that kid but my interest has grown with each passing year.
See you later! :D :D :D

hey im a noob too :). I was looking at the tropics and the forecast models, and it seems that there might be a tropical disturbance developing West of the Bahamas over the next two weeks or so.

Thank you for the kudo's on the site Kevin. The staff and admins and forecasters do theri best to keep this a good place to be. I look forward to your take on the season as we progress through it. I too began tracking TC's when I wa 7 years old, only on my fathers knee. He is the one that instilled my love of weather and the tropics in me. I too am MANY YEARS removed from that time in my life.

WELCOME TO STORM2K!!

Where is Geismar?

#9 Postby LA Storm Tracker » Mon Jul 26, 2004 5:05 pm

Geismar is located just a few miles south of Baton Rouge or just a stone's throw north of Gonzales. I want to thank everyone for the very warm welcome that I have received.

Thanks a bunch! :woo:
