TWC features Dorchester County, SC in Video highlights

#1 Postby Stormsfury » Wed Mar 26, 2003 12:14 am

Tonight while looking at the current conditions on TWC, the big headline today was the video coming from the flooding of the Edisto River ... currently well above flood stage. Unfortunately, some of the homes that were shown are from people that I know on a person to person basis.

One family lives pretty much along the Edisto River, and their home could very well be in jeopardy from the current flooding along the river. I'm just hoping that torrential rains do not ensue to a point which causes tremendous hardship and any more damage to that region.

My home county is Dorchester County, even though I won't be affected by river flooding. The Edisto River runs about 15 miles to my NW, and the closest river to me is the Ashley River only 2.2 miles away. (However, even after Hurricane Hugo - there was no flooding due to the river.)
