Where is your computer?

LOL, I guess that Bill and I are the only ones
that opted to put the computer in ...the kitchen!
Before my brother and sis-in-law moved
next door, she had a china cabinet against the wall
here in the kitchen. The spot looked bare, so,
I put my desk here, and, hooked up my PC - it
filled up the space quite nicely, plus, I can see
out the back door onto the carport AND out the
front door - I like to see what's going on, around
here!

Now how many of you, with kids, are going to put a dining room table on off white carpeting? I took out the ugly light fixture that was in here (everytime is walked through the room I hit my head on it) and put in a ceiling fan... Also a 55 gallon fish tank, and a 29 gallon tank.. a recliner and a bookshelf... nice and cozy!
You sound like me accept I have my rabbit in there with me. And add a 125 gallon tank. lol.

We don't have room in our kitchen. We have a big kitchen, but we have 4 people living in this house.

We have one and it's in a fourth bedroom we turned into a TV/Computer room. This room used to be a guest room but we rarely had out of town guests (I have two sisters-in-law who have bigger houses now, so my father-in-law stays with them). So it was a useless room! We gave the spare bedroom set to another family member and turned it into it's present purpose. It is nice when our kids have homework assignments or papers to write. They just close the door and have quiet time to work. Computer used to be in our bedroom and once the Net grew, we quickly saw that wasn't going to work out well.
We just finished half our basement and have considered moving the computer downstairs. I'm against it since I walk past this room a lot during the day, I can easily check email or the boards. I'm hardly in the basement!
I wouldn't mind a computer in the kitchen. I read where some of you have yours in there. Makes sense to me.

LOL, Brent, I could see where that would definitely
be a problem! I'm the only person in my house, though,
so, I just filled up a spot that worked for me. LOL, I
DO need HGTV "Design On a Dime" in a BAD way, though!

My computer is in our den. We have two big desks in here. One for me and one for hubby. My computer is on my desk and I use DSL. My hubby uses his desk for work stuff. I have an old dresser in here which holds all kinds of office/computer supplies. Finally, I have a folded up treadmill in here. Which, unfortunetly, stays folded up 99% of the time.
And BTW, I have a 4 1/2 year old Dell that hasn't failed me yet:)
(Knock on wood)
Oh yeah, and my laptop is in the bedroom, but I gotta dial up on that because I only have one DSL modem.
