i wish they would have waited on the recon and used the trip another time for something more impressive. I doubt its closed off. It seems like they send planes out early in the season at the first sign of development than later in the season when the bank account is getting low they hesitate. Just my thoughts. How many times the last few years have we seen these systems look good, than the plane gets there and doesn't find anything than leaves and 6 hours later the thing is intensifying again. I'm sure max and the gang get frustrated since they are on a tight budget. NHC does a good job though and lets get that clear before the season gets going and the NHC bashing starts in a few weeks.
