Terroristic dreams/fears since 911 yes or no?

#1 Postby Anonymous » Sun Jul 18, 2004 11:00 pm

I have had several terroristic dreams since 9/11 including driving down the road and seeing mushroom clouds (nuclear bombs) alongside me strangely, it didnt kill me in my dream but I woke up horrified. I have had many dreams of bridges falling down though that could be due to my fear of bridges and not terror fears. I have also dreamed that I was evacuated to St vincents hospital here for some reason and then there was bombs going off in the river causing very high waves in the river causing the hospital to collapse...Last night, I dreamt there was an attack on our food supply causing people to be dying left and right on the news including the news reporters... Has anyone experienced strange dreams or nightmares since 9/11?

There are plenty out there having the same dreams including terrorists. Sounds pretty normal to me. I read the same things every week.

No - turn the TV off before you go to sleep.

I don't remember any.

I have a lot of dreams where I only remember a few seconds of it, it's so strange.

I used to have dreams that I was falling all the time.

I had a BIZZARRE dream last night. Woke up in cold sweat even. There were multiple nuclear blasts that went off at the same time all over the country. Nobody really knew what really happened, as there was no way to find out. No TV, no radio... complete darkness, choking hot air, smokey conditions. Everyone was outside trying to make sense of what happened while we slept. Very scarey. All anyone could talk about was life as we know it was gone and wouldn't be coming back anytime soon.

Anyone read Stephen King's "The Stand"?

http://www.horrorking.com/stand.html

Description: After a plague is accidentally released upon the world the few survivors are divided between the forces of good and evil to determine who will rebuild the world.

Published: Original book: Doubleday, 1978,
Uncut book: Doubleday, 1990

. . .

I dreamt I ripped off my fingernails down to the quick one time. And then was driving down the road one day and remembered the dream. Nope, only two that were snagged and ragged in the first place. And I'd done that in my waking hours.

There's a few more that need filing now, better get to it...

...

Windsong, let me tell you something about a cold sweat. It can be a sign of a low LOW blood sugar and can be dangerous to your health. Get something to eat sweet when you have that again, orange juice, milk even. FAST

Makes me wonder if the low bg (blood glucose) causes the dreams too...?

I know overeating before bedtime can cause dreams and nightmares, but does going to bed hungry?

I think it was the Pizza I ate an hour before sleeping. That's what I get for losing control of my schedule!

The Stand... oh yes, it was a lot like that if I remember it correctly. I read that book when it first came out eons ago.

Oh,and the cold sweat...turns out I have an infection. going to the doctors tomorrow.

Thanks for the info on low blood sugar. Good stuff.

Sometimes dreams can turn into reality.
