Jim's WDW trip

#1 Postby WXBUFFJIM » Mon Jul 19, 2004 9:49 pm

Hey everyone. I'm back from Walt Disney World. The trip was totally awesome down there with high temps of 90-95, lows at night of 70-75 degrees and humidity to boot. We had 3 lightning storms, one July 11th in the afternoon at Magic Kingdom, one July 14th both in the morning at 6 am and at night at around 11:30 PM. Otherwise the weather was mighty fine for anything outdoors. We stayed from July 10th-17th, 2004 at the Old Key West Resort. Disney World is 50 square miles in size. Think of it being bigger than the inside of the Baltimore Beltway. 210 buses serve this location on a daily basis. Such theme parks I visited included Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, Beach Club, Downtown Disney, and the most popular night club location in Disney, Pleasure Island. It was all totally worth it and I would go back again for sure within the next few years or so.

The only pictures I got online right now is the fireworks from Magic Kingdom better known as the wishes night time spectacular. There was also a illumination and fireworks show over a lagoon at Epcot, which was equally as good.

http://community.webshots.com/album/164616950mpVdeQ has both displays for you all. I'll dsplay more WDW pics and memories a bit later as I continue organizing these into files....good to be back.

WDW is fun for all ages...and any time of the year. Hot in the summer, but then there are plenty of places to cool off. But bring your wallet!!!! Mickey and friends don't come cheap!

It does get pricey. But it's worth it. The weather was fine during the last week more so than what is usual for July. Certainly no complaints there.
