Permitting foreign "inspectors" to oversee our electoral process opens the door for a host of potential interventions...none of which are wanted or needed, thank you very much.

minorities deserve rights as well as every other american citizen and about the education comment...thank Jeb Bush in Florida..as one example, "The no child left behind" When he couldn't even answer a simple math question.  Republicans are NO better Than Democrats. They are all crooks out for themselves, no matter how much some people try to sugar coat it.

If this is indicative of how you feel, Johnathan, maybe you'd be better served to sit this one out.

So, Soldier, we need to get out of the business of interferring in other countries elections too? Where we are not wanted or needed, of course.

Imposing our form of government on other world bodies then would be a disrespect to them and a slap in the face to any country wishing to emulate us because they admire the U.S. for the freedoms we enjoy.

Are you seeing how this applies to Iraq and their own governing council?

The only thing that should be secret about an election is what every individual's vote is, if they so desire not to tell. All other aspects should be open to validation, verification and scrutiny if so warranted.

Spew? I'm asking some questions that I feel are pertinent to the thread's discussion.

Any input is welcome. But please don't take me out of context or try to mischaracterize my intent.

Thank you.

There's a huge difference between our election process and those in other countries. When you go to the polls in our country, you don't fear for your life. It's just another day. Our presence in Iraqi elections would be to provide security. Where do you get off saying that we're not needed there? The U.S. elections do not need U.N. supervision. What we need is more along the lines of tech support or picture instructions for dummies who can't figure out how to vote!

Dennis, I guess I was just surprised. I just always thought you supported Bush...I guess I haven't read or forgot some of your political type posts. I remember a comment about Bush being responsible for the gas prices rising or something like that but I thought you were being sarcastic, poking fun at those who blamed him. lol

Yep Steph...I'm aware that there are some Christians who are Democrats. Personally, I can't understand it, but I don't have to. hehe ;)

Oh Johnathan...nobody ever said Bush was perfect, certainly not me. However, I do not think he is the lesser of two evils. I'm proud of what he has done as President. I'm glad that he does what he says and doesn't just say things to temporarily appease the people. I find it inspiring that he is a moral, Christian man and has brought integrity back to the White House. I think he's doing a great job in many aspects but I won't go and on...
Also, I never said that just because someone was Christian they were bound by contract to vote for Bush. I just know Dennis' stance on several issues so I assumed he was for Bush. My bad. ;)
