I had to use my 4 wheel drive for the first time ever today

I had a yard sale today (woo-hoo, I got to clean out my garage and people paid me for it! lol). Anyways, when I was putting out signs today, I pulled off the road into some dirt. I had a feeling like something was wrong. Well, my tires just started spinning in place when I tried to pull out of there. Drive, reverse, even 1st gear, nothing worked. I was about to cry. I was thinking Chad is gonna kill me if I have to call a tow truck to get me out of this, lol. My brother was with me and just laughed and said put it in 4 wheel dopey. Worked like a charm. I always thought having 4 wheel was worthless. I'm not the type of girl that goes off-roading, lol. Now I know better. ;)

Friday is the best day. You wouldn't think so, but it really is.

We just bought Wario an old Mazda Navajo (same platform as the original Exploder) last month, and the guy we bought it from said to run it in 4wd at least once a month to keep the hubs from rusting tight--you might want to do that too, Jen?

Judging from the fact that it's come home covered in mud to the top of the roof, I'd say he's found a dirt road or two to test it out on.

I'm glad it worked out Jen!

My CRV has automatic all-wheel drive, which means it "kicks in" when needed. I did notice during a few heavy rainstorms I've driven through that the SUV suddenly seemed to "hug" the road more. I'm looking forward to seeing how it handles the snow.
