There is a time and place for everything and that "7th inning stretch" was certainly not it. And can you PROVE who actually started the rumor? Or are you just blaming it on Conservatives?
1-Chad has admitted 2 posts up he started the false spread of info.(BTW I don't believe it was deliberate, it was just careless and gives unnecessary ammo to some of the liberal wackos)
2-I agreed from the start that it was inappropriate as referenced by my remark "YES IT WAS TACKY REGARDLESS".
3-I don't believe I ever made reference or inference as to which party line OR individual started "the rumor", nor was it my intent. So that last question is truly out of left field.

That line there kind of says who you believe started it.. That IS lableling..
It was just a miss type actually.. It did infact happen Linda.. That part is NOT a rumor.. I want to reiterate the fact that I am not apologizing for anything other then a mis type.

That line was meant to show that this type of misinformation, no matter who spread it, can and often does do damage to the positive image one is trying to portray of their affiliation, in this case, the Republican image, even if not your intention to have done so. If a liberal had started this false rumor and it spread, you could have implied the same about them and their party's motives.
BTW, just for clarification, what are you saying you mistyped?

But YOU said that your reference to party affiiliation was "far left field" But now you are saying you did not say that. Which is it?
Seems to me you are now all over that image you claimed to have not meant.
