Ya'll better pay attention to this. Read below to see what to do.
This is scary!!
Driver's License

Now you can see anyone's Driver's License on the Internet, including your
own! I just searched for mine and there it was...picture and all! Thanks
Homeland Security ! Maybe we should start up a petition or something
protesting this. What do you think?

Go to the website and check it out. It's unbelievable!!! Just enter your
name, City and state to see if yours is on file. After your license
comes on the screen, click the box marked "Please Remove". This will
remove it from public viewing, but not from law enforcement.

Can't you use a lot of those different background search websites to get this information? I have access through PublicData.com with my best friend for background checks of their potential tenants.

I'm all for Homeland Security. As long as certain other weather board admins don't get my information and misuse it , I don't care who has access. Besides, here in TX, your SS# is not on your license, unlike the old KY DL (which I think has changed since I lived there).

Chad,
I can't believe it. My pic online looks better than I look in person. Geesh! :)

I already checked my own listing on PublicData.com, which is probably more thorough because it includes previous addresses, criminal history, civil court history (like landlord/tenant probs), and so forth. They're all the same.

Now, my credit history is the stuff I can't stand to see.

What's the point? If I get it removed from one website, how's that going to keep someone from checking PublicData.com or one of those other sites.

Like I said, I don't care. I have nothing to hide. What's on my DL that isn't already in the phone book or common knowledge by people who know me (b-day). Besides, I don't like the ones that ask for email address and so forth so you can register with a password. I end up getting spam that way. PD.com doesn't do that.

Nothing comes up (except a moronic "Your system is running slow!" popup ad). I know of one other person with my name in TX and one in KY. I tried both. It'd help if I could put in a social security #. Why do they only ask for name and location?

So, I'm not there so I can't remove anything. Even if you guys did remove yourselves, I bet I could still find it on other public records sites.

Heck, I've been pulling y'all's legs since my first post. I figure it's one of those where a pic of a chimp or pig comes up. They're kinda old, so I didn't bother. Besides...I'm the skeptic here, remember? I quit falling for those and the ones where the scary face suddenly pops up and scares the bejeebies out of you.

Seriously though, since there really are such sites as PublicData.com, I don't care about my info being public record. As long as no one can steal my ID (who'd want to?), then I have nothing to worry about and nothing to hide. SOME people on the other hand ought to be ashamed of themselves and want to hide from the public eye...like Bill Clinton.
