Yada!! Yada!! Yada!!! And I know where you sent the rain too!! Getting rather soggy around here!!!!! Been raining on and off all day and more is on the way. Houston posters may all have to put Duck after their name before it is over!!!  That wink is for one of my favorite people from Galveston!!

Pojo, I am already tired just looking at the two classes you are going to be taking. So, how many jobs are you squeezing in between classes?

Another kinda ok day here today too...rain is likely later with some heavy rain possible, so some Cincinnatians may need to put Duck after their names this evening...LOL...

I'm going to the Cincinnati Reds game this afternoon at 12:35, hoping the storms hold off for it...as some of you if not most or all know, Ken Griffey, Jr. is looking for HR # 500 this afternoon against the Rangers...hope I get to see it...laters!

Jeremy - as we both know now, Griffey didn't hit #500. Dang, and you were there! That would have made for a memorable game/outing!

Well, the cicadas are nearly gone now. I posted a link over at the Community Forum Cicada topic, of the last batch of photos from Cincinnatians. Some are pretty funny. One picture shows cicadas from 1970, 1987, and then this year. That must have been from the Professor (as in Kritsky) himself? Who would keep cicadas around that long? LOL I did hear they make good fishing bait. My daughter Laura, tomboy and all, wanted me to freeze a tub full of them for fishing later on. We don't own a deep freezer so I can't imagine putting frozen cicadas next to food in the freezer! Anyway, we still don't understand what all the fuss as about. The cicadas didn't bother us much!

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Good Morning!

NOW, NOW David......we MUST follow the "Low Carb" craze here  I KNOW Karan would ONLY buy LOW CARB KK'S, right Karan?

SO....how's everyone this FINE Saturday morning? Me? Eh...so, so, my back is KILLING me this a.m., thanks to YARD work yesterday and I mean 10 HOURS of mowing, weed eating, pruning, re seeding, planting "6 MORE TREES!" We have new neighbors and I swear, they WAIT like a lion stalking it's prey, as SOON as they *hear/see* us outside, it's TO THE FENCE asking SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many questions, I mean, it's to the point to where I HATE going outside, SO.....I planted 6 "HUGE" Sioux Land Poplars (20 gallon containers, 10'-14' HIGH and 3'-4' WIDE already  on that side of the yard, needless to say, it *KINDA* made them MAD, "Ahhhhhhh!" but DANG IT, I "LOVE" my privacy, if I wanted to talk, give advice, I'd start my OWN radio TALK SHOW

ANYWAYS.....can't stay butta second, take care wxbuddies and KEEP us in your PRAYERS, we "NEED" rain SO desperatly, I'm to the point that I "WOULD" do ANYTHING for a "DROP" of rain

Dennis - that is one of my major pet peeves! The day you carve out some time to do yardwork, out come your neighbors to yack. Hate that! I'm smack dab between two immaculate homes (inside and out). The one family does all the work themselves and they work very hard at keeping their home in tip top shape. So when that wife is out, we chat ~while~ we weed or work in the yard. We're both sweating, wearing grungy clothes. The other wife does nothing - she has hired help for everything under the sun. She wanders over to ask - whattcha doing Mary......bla bla bla. I've distanced myself from her over the years to the point where she knows, oh yeah, Mary's a DIY type, better say hi and then leave her be. When she first moved here dinner was often delayed until well past 8. I couldn't get away from her! Polite me put up with this almost daily for about a year. Couldn't even go out for my mail - she was right there. Her husband spoils her rotten - gardening crews, weekly maid, etc. She asked me once if Jim and I have this agreement - whoever cooks, the other does the dishes. I about fell on the ground laughing. Quickly sobered up and said - well, I'm lucky if Jim carries his dirty dishes to the sink. LOL Again, I think she decided after that day we have little in common. I grew up in a family where everyone had chores, a job to do in the family. You didn't lounge around and hire people to clean for you! Not that I couldn't learn to like that from time to time, if we win the lotto or something outrageous like that.

Well, anywho, just wanted to say to you Dennis - I'm with you on the yacky neighbors. Especially when you really want to do some serious weeding, edging, trimming, you can't talk a lot when you do all that!

I know Mary.....OH, BTW...."HI" back to ya! These new neighbors are FAR better than the last, at least they keep their yard in tip top shape, no *little* kids, no barking dogs etc they just, well, LOVE to TALK! I made the *fatal* mistake and told them I'm a retired meat cutter, they are CONSTANTLY asking advice on which meat to buy, how to cook it, are they paying too much etc, etc, I mean, people pay GOOD money for advice like that :P I BBQ 5 days a week during the summer, I don't want to heat the house up by cooking inside, it NEVER fails, they come to the fence "What's for Dinner, how did you prepare the meat, how LONG do you cook it?" :x "AUUUUUUUGH!" AH WELL...I *think* they got the HINT when the trees went in the ground yesterday, we'll see today, I'm smoking a turkey today!

Dennis - this will pass I'm sure! LOL at the things we let slip and regret it later. So Dennis, what questions can I YOU about meat.....;-). Naw, I'm almost a vegetarian. I eat very little meat now. Prefers veggies and salads more! Hey, be glad they're not vegetarians!!! Now that would probably get on your nerves.

Yep, low carb, no calorie KK's!!!!!

Dennis, your not going to chase those neighbors away by smoking a turkey. I can smell it from here!!!! What time is dinner and what kind of wine would you like? Oh, by the way, I've found that a nice bubble bath and a bottle of chardonnay work wonders when you have a sore back after all that work!!!! " Michelle, draw this guy a nice bath and open the vino. " Whine and wine work very well for me. lol

Mary, you must look exactly like me - grungy clothes, a hat or bandana and dirt from head to toe!!!!! I'm a 100% DIY person - nahhhh that's not true, I pay a guy to cut my grass. I do the rest myself. Even cleaned out my gutters a few weeks ago. Not a fun job at all. YUCKY

Well, I gotta run. With poop sample in hand, I have to take Ernie to the Vet for his yearly exam. Poor little guy is gonna get lots of shots. Oh, the poop is in a baggy not really in my hand. lol

I'll brew a pot of Earl Grey and be back later.
((Hugs))
