I would like us all to have a moment of silence for the greatest President we have ever had. President Ronald Reagan.

K. C.....enjoy the cruise. From our vantage point at Playa del Carmen across from Cozumel a few years ago (our 25th anniversary), we could see the cruise ships come and go. Have fun in Orlando.

I'll be putting on some Mickey ears in November and heading that way myself!

Freaking awesome Jeremy!!!! Hope you're having fun!!! Are you sure it is the boat that is tipsy???hehehe

Poppysky, I want a pic of you with the ears on!!!

As for me just call me HoustonDuck if the rains we have been progged to get over the next few days materialize, as I will be growing webbed feet to adapt!!

Went to the bone doc today(ortho). Didn't lilke the news, but I was expecting it. My knee probably will never be as good as it was before the wreck unless I have surgery. He isn't in a hurry to do it, but says that isn't even a garauntee that it would help. Next step will be a steroid shot if I don't continue to improve. I guess it is time to let the ladies insurance know this ain't gonna be cheap. On a brighter note, my knee has improved a smidge over the last 6 weeks, but not like he expected, therefore the diagnosis. It could be worse-I am ambulatory and functional, just not as much as I want to be or used to be. I feel blessed compared to my neighbor who has not even been able to go back to work since his wreck around Thanksgiving. As far as I know he still doesn't have a short term memory since his wreck.

Tough news David...just the same. No fun to know that surgery is the only long term answer. Weigh all the options carefully, and then do what you think will be best for the years to come.

We'd welcome some of your rain here, but not likely to see that chance this month. Sun is pretty relentless this time of year.

Hi today was a "cooler" 106.

Steve, our temps are almost chilly...weird, isn't it? We've had cloud cover for a few days...(no rain)...I've never seen anything like it...it LOOKS like its going to rain...yet it never does....

The kids show aired on Nick Sunday night. We had good fun watching that! Taped it for the family members that missed it.

We're busy gathering everything we wish to take to FL this summer, packing, buying new socks, (grandparents hate holey socks), etc. We leave about midday on Thursday to head to Vegas, where the kids and I fly out of. We're going to have a very BUSY next couple of days...

AZSKY...we return the end of the month, when are you and Kathy heading our way? Lets be sure to make time for a visit, OK? :)

Shannon...we have weekend trips in July, August, September, and October...then more substantial time when Emma's brother or sister arrives in November or December. Worse case, we'll tip a toast at the holidays..best case, well, let's see!

You are undergoing JUNE GLOOM...that time when low clouds seem to last forever in southern California.

we are kinda still floating away up in Wisconsin.... thunder storms are moving through as I type.

Had my first drill weekend... rather boring due to introductory meetings... all that jazz. Next drill weekend we are released to the squadron :) I can't wait to find out what I am doing.

Summer classes start in a few weeks... only 6 weeks of classes this summer.....but rough to say the least. Graduation is expected in May!!! Yes May.

Heard a "first" as an excuse for being held on the tarmack at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix today.

The captain announced that there was a hole (H-O-L-E) in the runway at Chicago's Midway Airport...so we could not leave Phoenix. 65 minutes later, the hole must have been fixed, and off we went.

A hard landing in gusty east winds brought some robust remarks from the passengers...."Geez, Captain, no wonder there are holes in the runway!!!"

Anyway...in Illinois for a few days...at least Wednesday, maybe back on Friday.

Meanwhile I will check in with Storm2k from time to time.

The other fun news (but no real storms of consequence), we arrived with a tornado watch in effect. Makes the delay almost worthwhile!

Talk more soon.

Enjoy being 'home' in Illinois Steve! I heard about that tornado watch. In fact, my sister-in-law who lives in Barrington, recently sent me an email. She said the weather has been very bizarre up there lately. Flooding, tornado watches/warnings. Stay safe!

GOOD MONDAY MORNING! (if there IS such a thing!) :)

MAN....it's been EONS since I've sat on the front porch....if it ain't been one thing, it's been another! OH WELL...it's that time of year!

OH what I would GIVE for some rain, ANYTHING at THIS point in time, well, ALMOST anything  It's SOOOOOO dry up here, the Haines Index is a "7".....which translates into EXTREME FIRE DANGER! We're all sitting on pins and needles, just waiting for another careless person to light an illegal campfire, toss a cigarette out the car window  If things hold together, it SOUNDS like the Monsoons are going to be on time and pretty decent, let's hope so....

Dave, sorry to hear about the knee there Brother  Take it from someone who's had quite a few steriod injections, they DO work but MAN DO IT HURT! "OUCH!"

Well.....reckon that's about it fer now, take care friends and I'll try to stop by more often!

*sends the Big Guy hugs and her weather system*

Been raining here D for days, we have flash flood warnings, severe T-storm watches and warnings, seems like every 5 minutes. Alaska is seriously looking better all the time...'specially since my son and I almost had a huge oak tree fall on us Friday...missed us by about 2 or 3 seconds, we had just gone under it going to my parents house because I didn't like the look of the clouds overhead..... Someone was watching after us... we got very lucky.Next time I think I am staying put! lol

Take care guys and stay away from huge trees in a thunderstorm!

More deluge over the weekend...oh joy :( Dennis, I would happily send you some of this rain! Our rivers and lakes are flowing over their banks, new lakes have formed in farm fields. Flood warnings go up with the slightest amount of rainfall. :( So, we are still floating away.

Poppysky, glad you found your way back home to Illinois.

KC...take it from someone who was just there...it's awesome! I was there Thursday...it's cool...BTW you may hear many ppl going nuts at the pier...well that is b/c there's one tour that can get a little crazy...that's all I'll say about that...

VB I'm certain it was the boat LOL!

I finally made it home this am around 4am...here's a hint...don't EVER try to sleep in a cramped van...even if it usually has tons of space, because chances are if you have 4 bros and sisters, it won't have all that space...

TRACY!!!! "LIL WEATHER BUDDY!" How the HECK are YOU?!?!? {{{HUGS}}} to ya kiddo! My goodness, it's been a LONG time hasn't it?

Just thought I'd pop in fer a second and leave a pot of FRESHLY ground Millstone Coffee (we only use whole bean coffee, freshly ground these days 8-) ) and a dozen "LOW CARB" Krispy Kremes for those of you on a LOW CARB diet :D Have a T-REFFIC Tuesday.
