Bron - what a clever topic! And an appreciative one too. Great idea!

"Who do I want to say thanks to?"

First off, has to be....

Eric/Skywatch_NC - for recommending Storm2K in the first place. I was looking for a new wx message board 'home' and he said "I think you'll really like S2K Mary". And he was right! I love it here, so thanks Eric. And for being my favorite former Cincinnatian too! He never tires of my Reds' stories.....

Steve/Azskyman - for sending me pics of Emma, for letting me bend his ear with my parenting woes, for bouncing college questions off of him, in regards to the Journalism world too (Nina's intended Major), etc. And for just being a great friend!

Lindaloo - for being my female wx pal from waaaaaay back! For being a nice friend then and an even better friend now!

T - for being my friend from waaaaay back too and for being one of my top 3 TWC Chat Room mods from back then. And for warning me of impending wx coming my way, if it hits her region first.

Graham/Cyclone - for starting his 'just saying hi' threads on TWC boards. And always 'throwing me a blanket' when I'd say our thermostat was set on 65 during the winter. And for just being the best lil brother/wx pal now.

Duckie - for being my most favorite TV show friend possibly of ALL TIME! Yes indeedy, you have so much trivia stored away, you just amaze me. I love it when I just ask you one little bitty question and you provide me with stats, trivia, links, etc.! I think you're in the wrong biz girl - ever think of moving to Hollywood?!!!

Stephanie - for being a wonderful new wx pal and being a good patient, listening to my advice about docs! See it turned out well, I told you it would!

Karan - for always having a pot of Earl Grey ready for me! Warms my heart, that you do that ALL the time! I sprain an ankle - here's a cup of tea Mar.....I'm at my wits end with my annoying sister-in-law, here's another cup of tea Mar. Keep 'em coming Karan!!!

j - for your wacky posts. They never, ever bore me!

Chad/Marshall - last but not least, for creating this wonderful 'home' to all of us. I know you still must pinch yourselves that it's grown THIS much, but you should be very proud of yourselves, if you're not already!

I know I've missed so many....but off the top of my head, that's my list. Forgive me please if I've omitted someone that ~should~ be on this list.

Mary

PS - oops, already, forgot to thank you Bron! You're a wonderful friend to all of us here at Storm2K!

Bronnie...my gift to you and others is one of genuine support and heartfelt trust. Never would I knowingly betray that trust. The best thing I could ever get in return is a message carved out from your hectic day with some warm words in return.

I'm about to call it a day...and you need to know that while it started out as a tough one, your words bring it to a wonderful close. It was a good, really good, day.

Thanks Miss Mary too. I value that friendship as precious and very real as well.

While I'm out of energy to tackle individual messages tonight, suffice it to say that Storm2k is a colorful collaboration of personalities...and the whole is even better than all its wonderful parts!

Thanks to all of you for adding something very important to my life.

This really is a beautiful thread! And as I sat here and read it all, I thought about so many of you I would like to thank, but of course with me and my jumbled mind, I'm sure I'll forget a few, and if I do please forgive me!!

First of, Chad and Marshall, bet you guys didn't know you'd have such a tight-knit online family when ya started- thanks for making this place where I've met so many wonderful people- it was here that I first found a place to interact with other people who have a passion for weather that keeps up with mine, and that means the world to me!

Kelly, Kat, and all of my partying buddies: you guys are just so much fun to "party" with, and ya keep me out of trouble- thanks for being the rockin gals ya are!

Annette: To my partner in all things mischeivous- thanks for being so awesome in this past year!! I've come to you with more than one problem, and you calmed my nerves, and oh the fun times we've had! I still wish I could have gone to WWW with ya- I know we would have left LA in a state of shock! You're the best!

Shannon (pojo): I know you are one of the party girls, but I wanted to give you a special thanks for the letters you sent me from boot camp... I wasn't online at the time and in a way I felt like I was keeping in touch just gabbing with you- you're going somewhere in this world and I'll be happy to say I know ya!

Garrett: Thanks so much for being a great friend to me online and off! Yours was the first letter I got when I lost my computer last summer and I was so excited and happy to hear from someone on the board! (Even though I didn't send a letter back until Christmas time- tsk tsk!) Thanks for being there for me, and being the most awesome nowcaster for my chases!! :D

Poppysky: In all honesty, I tear up just about everytime I read something you write! You are almost magical to me, so comforting and kind, just wanted you to know that I look up to you just as much as I would were you my relation! Thanks for being you!

And to all who I have forgotten (and I know I have forgotten some even before I finish this) : thank you all for being the kind and considerate people you are! Thanks for caring about me when I was gone, and welcoming me everytime I make it back! It's so easy to take things for granted, and I just want you all to know that your friendship is valued dearly in my heart. Thanks for rounding out my internet family!

You are ALL part of the reason I am here...I can't think of anyone who doesn't contribute to humor, insight, debate, warmth, inspiration, or life itself in one way or another. The list I include below is spontaneous and at the moment. Not seeing your name makes you no less important.

Some bright spots for me...

Dennis for helping us remember what a Front Porch and a Pot Belly Stove are really all about...and for being comfortable in who you are and what you stand for...yet gentle enough to hear your heart talk outloud. You are as real as it gets, and a mountain man who has earned all the respect you are given.

Eric for being an ever-so-positive person and an inspiration The God you love and trust so much is so very much alive in you. I am proud to know not just who you are but witness what great love of Him can do.

Donna...my gosh how your passion for weather and passion for your family give you such insight on life's ways and meanderings. Your stability and sensibility is real...yet you hold hope and excitement about each new day and share it with others...to look with wonderment as a child might see the ocean for the very first time. You see some things as though for the very first time..and how lucky you are for that.

Bill...from a world limited so much to a pup at your feet and a keyboard in the night, I feel your anguish and pain at the limitations you wake up to each day but am forever enlightened by all that you know and all that you are..and the love and care you extend across the miles. As your pain is so real to you, so too is your soulful encouragement on behalf of others.

Mary...you are an inspiration to those who have brushed with life-threatening illness...and are honest in friendship and wisdom to others in need. You can feel the same as one who would stop by the house and hold a hand. You reach out especially to the challenges of those finding their way through school and relationships and families without foundation. A guiding light you have become.

Ed...you have been blessed with a sense of humor that not only keeps us in check; from taking life too seriously, but clearly makes molehills out of mountains in your own life. Who better to get a barometer reading from on a bad day than you!

Bronwyn..I am in awe of your strength and the depth of your conviction. What great testimony to the family who clearly loves you so much as to give that gift to you...and now you to your own son and daughter. Your challenges must sometimes seem relentless, yet your faith and laughter are the perfect combination to get you through.

Jacki-Lynne...I love that you are "refreshingly Iowan!" You define that term in ways that few Iowans do. You ought to go to work for the state of Iowa in representing just how fun and spirited, yet sensitive and comfortable it can be there. Your adventures at Walmart and your struggles in finding out who you are seem "refreshing" to many of us too.

In one way or another, be it Paolo or Jeremy or Stephanie or Bonnie or any others I have not spoken of here, you are all a part of the Storm2k experience that makes it unique.

Anyone who feels slighted here...drop me a personal IM and I'll let you know exactly what I see in you that you should also see in yourself.

Thanks Bronnie for the opportunity here.... I never get tired of reminding good people just how important they really are.

LOL, you guys are ALL way too great! As several
have said, I enjoy talking to you ALL! It's just so
fun to learn things from everyone here, no matter
who you are!

Jackie-Lynne keeps me laughing and adds a "spice"
to my way of thinking - gal, I wish you could take
a road trip with me and the Suz, too! We'd have
a royal blast!

Garrett is my "son" - well, sort of - in a cyber kind
of way: if I had ever had a son, he is the exact
way that I would have wanted him to grow up and
be - caring towards humanity, yet, growing up
with definite ideas of his own - a true great person!

Hurricanedude - you rascal - LOL! There ain't
nothing we can't do, hmmmm? ;) You may not find
me hanging out on AIM, always, but, you know that
I am always thinking of you.

Miss Mary - good grief - between our hair and the
cicadas, I have faith that we shall prevail - in our
own wonderful ways! We are WOMAN - you
know? ;)

Bill always adds that "edge" to topics - I read one
and I think, "Oh, cr*p! Wait 'til Bill reads this!"
Soldier, you have my utmost respect, Sir! ;)

And, Poppysky, you may not know it - but, I am
always at attention at whatever you have to say -
I may never comment, my friend, but, I heard
EVERY word that you said, and, I sat and thought
about it, quietly, in my own way. God Bless you for
your wonderful insight!

Wow, how did I miss this topic until now. 8-)

Amanzi, thank you for starting this topic. And thank you for your wonderful posts. They all light up my day.

Jacki, thank you for allowing me the chance to be important. We have had some discussions! You are a great friend.

Gulfbreezer, thank you for the book donations. Your generous donation has helped the library tremendously. Your kind heart is not forgotten.

Annette, thank you for being a great "mom". I see things all the time that make me think of you. Sometimes I send them to you, sometimes I don't, but they always make me laugh.

David, thank you for the reminders of young love. I wish that I could go back to that age sometimes. Your innocence is such a wonderful thing.

Hurricanegirl (Mary), thank you for keeping me on my toes in Weather Jeopardy. I have learned so much in that game.

Anthony, thank you for the lively and interesting conversation on MSN Messenger. We have banded together and made a difference when we needed to.

Josephine, thank you for keeping me interested in sports. Our talks are always great. Your strength and courage is to be admired as well.

Popsky, thank you for your constant words and reminders of thought provoking things. I can tell you cherish the little things in life. Also, thanks for the Emma updates. In some ways, we all feel like we've watched a little girl slowly grow up.

Pojo, thank you for trusting me to get your letters from boot camp to the residents of S2K. You are one strong person who is going to go far. I can't wait to watch you! :)

Stephanie, thank you for always posting what I am thinking.

Miss Mary and GDuck, thanks for all the fun DAYS posts. Together, we will figure everything out. You both are valuable board members.

Bri-the-Wx-Guy, thank you for all the wonderful weather discussions in that forum. I know that you are going to do well in college.

Cycloneye, thank you for your guidance in the tropical weather forum. It has helped immensely.

Wxbuffjim, thank you for your insightful look into the world of mother nature. You always are there posting away when we need you. You don't mind people asking silly questions (Now who would do that? ), you handle everything with the utmost professionalism.

To everyone at S2K, thanks for making this place such a lively and exciting place to be.
