I am not a big MM fan. But I think if the conservatives had someone similarly annoying and as unrepentantly hateful of the left as MM is of the right(i.e. Rush), they would embrace him.

I don't understand this...you pretty much said Rush is unrepentantly hateful of the left, but also say "if" the right had someone.....

well...is Rush the guy or not?

Rush is not a mirror of MM, but he is close to the "guy" I am describing.

My point is that it is all well and good to hate MM for his ideology, but if a neo-con used similar tactics, they would be embraced by the right.
