They need to focus more on the severe weather for now rather than the health and safety segment. That's just plain ignorant. TWC's priorities are messed up.

The weather channel just said that this May is coming close to last May. Which would be the most tornadoes of any month. :eek:

Yes chadt, they are reports. But I think in the end with this big of a event there be closer to 120 touch downs. :eek:

Some may be multiple reports but I haven't seen too many long lived tornadoes, which would mean that the report numbers may be close to the real thing that usual.

Already up to 80 reports ... again, remember, many of these could will likely be for the same tornado being reported by several spotters/observers, etc ... yes, they may find other tornadoes that were missed, but with long-lived tornadoes (such as some of the ones we're apparently seeing with this current outbreak), the ACTUAL number of tornadoes vs. reports will likely be lower than the reports... Still though, it doesn't change the fact that the last two days have been VERY ACTIVE, and also very destructive and also deadly.

Oh, and one more thing, the outbreak tonight is occurring in higher density population centers, meaning the likelihood of spotters are indeed reporting on the same storm(s)...

83 reports with 604 severe weather reports so far.

Saturday had 92 tornadoe reports + Sundays 83 = 175 reports wow!
