I knew we could have been dealing with a very large tornado outbreak, and it looks like we are.
Amazing how many people are underplaying this situation in some places. Survey teams from what I hear have been going around to some damaged areas from yesterday's tornadoes, but I wonder how many will need to be sent out after today.
I'm still surprised they are holding the Indy 500 as well. Those people need to start taking shelter soon if that line holds together.
A lot of people aren't underplaying the situation though, which is good, since it is Memorial day and people really need to keep tabs on the situation.
The amazing thing is how lit-up the radars are right now, and have been for the past few hours. Remember, last night's storms didn't wind down until this morning, and right now it looks like it's putting last night's radar echos to shame. These lines have a lot of juice left, and a lot of area yet to cover.
I've been looking around at the radars, and although I haven't seen any numbers close to 70 yet like last night, the mid and upper 60's are certainly widespread.
Take cover if you're up there, and don't take this lightly.
