replaces WW 322, and IS NOT a PDS watch, however as i think i said earlier, and as we are learning from the OKC threat this evening A TORNADO WATCH MEANS WHAT IT MEANS. take this situation seriously, these cells across KS nd OK are especially dangerous.

Yep. Take for instance the mini outbreak in Illinois in April; I don't think they had a PDS. Yet, the area had massive devastation and several deaths.

My point exactly, and GREAT example.....

Any TORNADO (i don't care if it's an F1 or a full blown F5) or SEVERE THUNDERSTORM is dangerous, and warnings (and watches) are issued so that folks understand the severity of the situation.

Exactly, NEweatherguy ... the PDS watch was much further north in Minnesota, and Wisconsin, and yes, there was a quite a few tornadoes, but only 1, I think was stronger than F2 ... the stronger tornadoes that occurred in Illinois somewhat caught everyone by surprise, even SPC, despite the tornado watch being in place ...

Bottom line scenario ... be prepared, period.

You should NEVER take any severe weather watch lightly!! Any t-storm can drop a tornado or any other severe weather at any time!!

Even thunderstorms which are generally Non-tornadic can do that quickly especially when convective interactions enhance localized shear
