Helen, why does the White House have to respond to this type of garbage. Gore needs to stop talking, he is embarrassing himself.

I enjoyed his speech very much. I know I'm in the minority here, but my opinion is as good as everyone else's. Just as you can't understand my political leanings, I can't understand some of yours.

rainstorm...response from the RNC:
The Republican National Committee shot back at Gore, pointing out that while he was vice president terrorists attacked U.S. embassies in Africa, bombed the USS Cole and carried out the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

"Al Gore's attacks on the president today demonstrate that he either does not understand the threat of global terror or he has amnesia," RNC spokesman Jim Dyke said in a statement.

He's done this before. A few months ago he alleged the adminstration "betrayed this nation". LOL, yet he believed Iraq had WMD.

He makes about as much sense as John Kerry. :)

I expected a similar reaction, and that's fine. More power to you to if you prefer Bush.

I heard someone today saying that our county had never been more politically divided than it is today. Look at this board and see examples of that statement. Everyone seems to believe so strongly in one party or the other, and things would be so much better if some agreement could be reached. Why is there hate instead of compromise?

There is too much mudslinging going on on BOTH sides..like a bunch of damn third graders. I hate election years for that reason.

One thing about these two candidates. You love 'em or hate 'em. Sunnyday there is not much in between.

These are not moderate times. These are times of extremes. There is a lot of pent up anger and frustration from 9/11 and the Clinton years...so it is no surprise to me that emotion rules the comments on these boards.

Love, hate, anger, frustration; they are all here!

Welcome to an election year at a time when gasoline is at its highest price ever and body bags are bringing our sons and brothers home from a distant land.

So, too, are caution, preparation, questioning, and a certain bickering present on these Boards and Forums...but, most importantly, HOPE. And that goes for anyone, regardless of political inclination.

HOPE in the future of our durable, but battered Constitutional Republic...which will lay in the hands of whoever "wins" in November, whatever the next few days, months or years brings us. Without that HOPE...why bother? That's why we are posting, is it not...in the HOPE of a better future for ourselves and our descendants, for our country?

We may disagree on HOW to go about it...but there is HOPE. OK?

Who hates? I mean you just said you enjoyed his ranting but yet you ask why there is so much hate?

If you are going to put yourself out for debate be sure you can take the heat.

Besides, sunnyday...how can anyone "compromise" about dealing with people whose only reason for waking up in the morning is to plan and execute acts which are intended to kill as many of us as they can..including YOU, if they have their way?

One side says "fight"...the other, "run and hide". It's that simple.

im not sure there is hope soldier. o'rielly has been ranting for awhile about
how left wing judges are wiping christianity out of our nation, and they are winning. 2 things , a kerry win means far left judges and an ultra left supreme court. there are several memebers who cant last much longer there.
also, in my opinion, a kerry win means that no nation on earth will ever again have the stomach to challenge osama. it also means we will no longer be great.

Gore

#20 Postby sunnyday » Thu May 27, 2004 9:17 am

First of all, I don't consider what Gore did as ranting and raving. He is a man with strong beliefs and principles who says what he feels is right. As for me taking the heat, I was not referring to the cuts I get on this board. Heaven knows, I'm used to that. I was meaning that the Republicans and Democrats in this country need to get together and do what is needed to end this war and bring peace to Iraq and safety to us in the U. S. again.
