Terrorist Attack Check In

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Wed May 26, 2004 3:08 pm

We already have a severe weather check in policy.. I am 1 who thinks we should make 1 for terrorist attacks, since I really believe it's not if we get attacked again but when..

and since there is possibility where an attack could take place where some of our members reside, God for bid it does happen.. I'm sure we'd want them to check in :)

We have all the numbers John. They are used for hurricanes and severe weather. If a terrorist attacks occurs then we could use the numbers to call them. Common sense prevails.

But, if anyone who wants to send their numbers to southerngale or me who are not involved or threatened by severe weather please PM your numbers to us.

The posts or stuff said are NOT an official forecast and my opinion alone. Please look to the NHC and NWS for official forecasts and products.

Model Runs Cheat Sheet:
GFS (5:30 AM/PM, 11:30 AM/PM)
HWRF, GFDL, UKMET, NAVGEM (6:30-8:00 AM/PM, 12:30-2:00 AM/PM)
ECMWF (1:45 AM/PM)
TCVN is a weighted averaged

Opinions my own.

Sad but a real possibility. We live in many different parts of the country...in or near some of our biggest cities. Not a bad idea to have a place to post our status if something should occur.

I really don't think it'd be a bad idea either.. I hope we never have to use it.. But it'd probably be a good idea to have a thread set up so that we could all check in with the rest of our board people if we are in or near an area that gets struck..

Another reason is that my hometown is surounded by airports from different cities, DFW International Airport to name one of them.

The smaller airports are:

Dallas Love Field
Ft. Worth Meacham
Ft. Worth Alliance
Redbird Airport
