I Won the Grand Prize Tonight!

#1 Postby wxman57 » Tue May 25, 2004 10:58 pm

... at the Houston/Galveston Hurricane Conference, that is. The prize was for a 3750 watt generator from Home Depot. They called 2 numbers before my winning number but those people had already gone. Didn't see any S2K members there, but that was me going up for the generator. :D :)

If something happens down here this season...can you run an extension cord down to Florida?

Now you have no excuse for not posting if a storm hists your area this year.

Congrats.

Do you remember what the other 2 numbers were? I left before they did the final drawing...my ticket number was 734390...sound familiar?

Sorry I didn't get to speak to you personally...everytime I walked by you were talking with someone else, so I'd walk off and look around for Suzi and KatDaddy (even though I had no way of knowing who he was), but I didn't see either of them, or at least I didn't think I did.

No, the other two numbers were like ...551 or 455, pretty high. Actually, I had two tickets. Got my ticket when I walked in then my boss & I were passing by the front desk around 8pm and they asked if we had tickets. We said "yes" then I casually asked if we could have another. The guy behind the desk said "sure, it never hurts to ask" and passed us a bag of tickets to pull one each from. Well, that was my winning ticket.

Figures, I was stuck picking up husband at work late after being stuck in freaking COURT with him all morning. I swear, if he EVER does something like this again, I'm gonna THROW him into the Gulf. I have missed ALL the good stuff this year becuz of him; thank heavens it's ALMOST over.

Just picked up the generator at lunch. Barely fit into my car (Acura Integra hatch back). Now I have to figure out what I can plug into it should we get hit.
