The President's speech was both needed and predictable. It was neither mean-spirited nor inspirational.

He is on a course that he will see through. That course is clearly more important to him that the election or his Presidency. That's what I like about the man.

The "fixing" of things broken in Iraq will take decades not weeks or months...so the opportunity for ultimate success will not lie with this President or the next. Instead it will lie in the will of the Iraqi people and the will of Americans to hold on to a noble mission in the face of painful loss.

I am still not pleased with the President and his effort in Iraq. but, he did reassure somethings last night, so I voted yes.

I respectfully disagree that the course of things in Iraq is more important to Bush than his re-election. Of course, who knows for sure?

Anything worth doing is never easy. That is the deal in Iraq. Unlike the past Generations, we Americans are less able to, or willing to deal with tough times. Its very sad.

At least this President confronted terrorism head on. He stays true to his vision.
