Drought conditions strike Most of Florida

With no rain in the past few weeks, it feels like a full blown drought here. In Crestview, they cant use their water from 6:00-9:00 P.M. Farmers in the area are concerned since alot of their plants have started to die. I wouldnt be surprised if its like this all over the state. Temperatures have been reaching into the upper 80s in North and Northwest Florida..in Southern Florida, its an oven. Temps raning from the low 90s to atleast over 100 im some place i wouldnt doubt. Also there is a great risk of Forest Fires up here..its so dry that people cant smoke anymore if your house is near a forest. Anything would set off a fire. We need rain...bad!!!

I feel your pain........we're entering into our 8th STRAIGHT consecutive year of drought and there is NO sign of any significant relief in sight As of this coming Weds.....the National Forests WILL be closed to ALL access until further notice, this is gonna KILL this mountain, no tourists, no jobs BUT.......I'd MUCH rather suffer thru another slow summer business wise than to lose my HOUSE to another wildfire!

Yeah. Eglin AFB next to Fort Walton is completely covered in forest and vegetation. They are limited to what they do now, they cant test bombs out there anymore. They have to go a few miles out into the Gulf to test out this big bombs. Any large forest fire that starts on Eglin will totally destroy the site. It would suck
