Tropical Update: 22 May

#1 Postby senorpepr » Sat May 22, 2004 9:33 am

12Z update is posted.

Things have calmed down a bit leaving this update to feature newly-upgraded TS Agatha and Invest 91S.

Additionally, the names page was update to reflect Agatha and the summary page was updated to add Agatha and complete data on Nida and Omais.

Enjoy!

Just a note... It may be a little while before I post the 00Z update. Severe weather (tornadoes, 3" hail) is in the local area and is keeping me VERY busy. Of course... check out Luis's posts on TS Agatha... our only tropical system.

Here's a quick blurb for Agatha.

This is the 00Z data that will used for the 03Z advisory.

TS Agatha
50 mph
1000 mb (29.53")
17.2N 109.9W

As for my weather... I'm still preparing for a large cell that has produced several tornadoes and large hail. Looks like a weaker portion of the storm will head toward my house, but I'll be busy nonetheless.

I posted the 00Z update... finally. I also added Invest 97W to the mix.

As for the local weather here... we dodged the bullet. Only lightning and rain... and lots of it... to report. However, south of me 30-75mi was not pretty. Lots of tornadoes and hail reports.

Be careful, pretty weather is surrounding you. You should move to Miami, almost rainless since the beggining of this month. I'm starting to think that this Bermuda High just love us and don't want to leave.
