ANOTHER POSSIBILITY FOR THE CARIBBEAN

#1 Postby HURAKAN » Sat May 22, 2004 8:52 am

We have an area of shower and thunderstorms south of the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, also we have an approaching tropical wave to the Lesser Antilles. I think that maybe the interaction between both weather phenomenon could cause a low pressure to form under the thunderstorms and the possibility of development. Comments :?:

That could very well happen, at least something to happen. While this was a fun pre-season teaser, a May storm is, I hate to use the term, overdue. The last May storm we had was in 1981, I believe. There was never a period of over 20 years where there wasn't a May storm, so there may be one last chance.
