When will Jesus Come???

#1 Postby Wnghs2007 » Fri May 21, 2004 6:57 pm

No body has an answer factually to this question but a general Idea might be good for me. I am just wondering when you think our heavenly father might return. He has his time planned.

It has been real evident of late that Pope John Paul II is not doing well at all. For all we know he might already be dead or on deaths bed. And accourding to scripture after He dies there is only supposed to be 2 more popes and the next one shall be short lived. And the Last one will be no-doubt the anti-christ.

There has been talk on going since 1997 about tearing down the golden gate in israel. Yes the one that our lord Jesus is supposed to walk through after it is open'd.

Article on this:
From Jamma Mokhriby: http://rapturewatch.cephasministry.com/ ... 0Gate.html

It has not been torn down as of yet but who knows when it might be.

2007 Looks to be the possible return year.

I am not a very religious person, but to me, I certainly hope the next pope lives a long life because whenever that next one comes, regardless of whether he is the antichrist or not, he will be seen as the antichrist anyways. I am sure what is written in the bible may have just as much of an influence or more than the prophecies themselves.

I will not start looking until the Jews decide to rebuild the Temple on its original spot. That will be a sure sign.

Yes, there MUST be not only a rebuilding of the Temple, but at least 30 years of Israel's UNDISPUTED control of the Temple Mount in which to accomplish that. The Temple must not be built with the "sound of metal within its precincts", but with wooden tools; the stones must be quarried and dressed elsewhere, and the whole constructed by hand labor.

This, alone, willl take at least that long to complete; especially since so much "modern" rubble needs to be cleared for preparation.

THEN, the third Temple must be CONSECRATED, according to the Law as given in the Torah.

I do not see this happening within my lifetime...besides, "Some will say, "Here He is', and some will say, "No, He is there'...but only the Father knows the time of My coming, as a thief in the night."

What...me worry?

Persons of intense faith interest me. I am not one myself but do try my best to abide by the golden rule. I find no reason to fear nor deride believers I just believe that God is essentially the goodness of the human heart and not some big boss in the sky. It is a spiritual wonder that a mechanism so marvelous as the heart could also somehow hold a spirit sense within it that can allow man to manifest actions of good.

The pope before Pope John Paul II only lived a few months before dying. There's no way I would think of him as the anti-Christ, so we may see that pattern repeated.

No the last pope. Which is two away will come from the beast. Which in my mind might be Romania, because it is described that a renewed roman empire will come to power.

Here is a site to the Roman Catholics: READ
http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Rhodes/7895/aarome.html

And here Is a site on the anti-pope as they call him:

http://catholiclight.stblogs.org/archives/000736.html

And here is were I get my information:

When will Jesus...

Two things..Never is not an option. Jesus will return. EVERY knee will bow, and EVERY tongue will confess. Second, why is the Pope going to be the Antichrist, in your opinion? Although I'm not Catholic, I don't believe a Pope fits the bill in any way. Please explain; that's an interesting statement. :D The previous statements were said in love and not to upset anyone.

No offense, K.C., but the first two sites immediately lost my interest because they were anti-Catholic. The last site struck me as nothing more than an index to some sites that could be interesting resources and to some that are nothing more than conspiracy theory sites. And yes, IMO, those are pretty much just conspiracy theories in a religious sense. In the same way some people try to overanalyze (and mis-analyze) strange sightings, politicians' murders, and flight numbers, there are those who confuse themselves and others by theorizing on certain aspects of the Bible.

Wait, wait, wait -- before you accuse me of saying that we Christians shouldn't read and understand the Bible, that is NOT what I am saying. However, Christian and doomsday cults have been spawned off misinterpretations of Biblical verses. Just because they use words like "God" and "Jesus" does not mean they are talking about the Christian God or His Son Jesus. You have to be careful of false prophets and teachings. Read the Bible yourself and pray for guidance and wisdom to understand it, not only in your mind, but in your heart.

Like I said, SOME of those sites are good resources -- educational and interesting. However, I personally do not believe that we should focus so much on trying to discover the when and where of Christ's return (because no one is going to figure it out anyway). Simply have faith that it will happen. Until then, I will continue to live my life day by day, being thankful for the many blessings that my Father bestows upon me, my family, friends, and country.

I feel sorry for those who spend their lives doing nothing more than trying to figure out when they're going to see Jesus. It seems they lack any faith that it will happen and they spend all their time worrying about it. If they know Him in their hearts, then it will certainly happen someday.

It all reminds me of a song by one of my favorite Christian groups, the Newsboys, called "Lights Out."

The chorus goes like this:

don't go shuttin' down
'til the trumpet sounds
and the battle is won
don't go punchin' out
'til the final shout
and the Father says,
"Well done"

And the last verse:

last one shoots the lights out, and
climbs up to the top of the roof
he's sitting there 'til the Second Coming
says he's got mathematical proof
who do you think you are?
did you figure out the date?
what do you hope to do
while you sit around and wait, wait, wait...

ill tell you why

#19 Postby SolarQuestions » Sat May 22, 2004 3:58 pm

Ill tell you why people are wishing and praying so hard to see Jesus because they are fed up with this world and have pretty much given up that that human race is capable of any real love or compassion and just dont see it enough. You cant beat a person year after year of their lives and not expect them to wish and pray for an ultimate savior and hero. They just dont like this world we live in ....cant blame them.

Christians say that human beings cant do it without Christ (save the world and make peace) so they say its not right to have the same faith in each other that you would have for Christ (that is the humanist approach) ....Christians dont like that approach ....so because human beings lack general faith in their fellow human being a terrible cynicism grows towards one another with everyone believing we are nothing but sinners all. So low and behold you have people sitting, standing, walking, riding, wishing, praying with all they have for Jesus to come to this terrible world where there is no real love or trust for their fellow human being.

It seems to me Some Christians and religious types in general created their own problems. Yup we are nothing but a bunch of sinners. I have to look past the sinners so i can find Jesus now. I LOVE Jesus. And the way i was taught and programmed my love for Jesus MUST be much stronger and on a higher level than for my fellow human being ...and thats what i have now. Great LOVE for Jesus . The rest of you ....well................

I bet you

#20 Postby SolarQuestions » Sat May 22, 2004 4:02 pm

I bet you as we get closer to the time of Jesus's coming back that there will be "christians" who wont want him to come.....they are afraid of his coming back (for reasons only they know) and like i said as he gets closer Some "christians" will be more and more afraid ....they will speak out against any appearance of Christ....that is one of the signs of his coming that you will be able to tell ...just watch the christians reactions ..youll see.

No one knows the exact date of His return but one thing is for sure ...the signs will become more and more clear and so will the amount of people who will try to deny those signs.
