When will the end come?

The end of the world will come when a Philadelphia team wins a championship. Be it the Phillies, Sixers, Flyers or Eagles. You would have had to live in Philly to know why that is so ..LOL ............Or kept a really close on on sports.

You had me there with that title. It was starting to get donwright depressing today.

LOl ....hey i have a sense of humor ..i really do ....im very serious though most of the time ...But not all the time

And no i didnt see the post on that firefighter thing.....ill look for it.

I lived in Philly so i know the feeling those people have about winning the big one.

Not to worry. The world will end when the Chicago Cubs win the World Series. There is plenty of time left to have a wonderful life!

Where in Philly? I'm not originally from NJ - I had grown up in Long Island.

The post is about the "Virginia Beach firefighters".

Hey, at least they won it during our lifetime. My poor Red Sox haven't won in my grandparents' lifetime! :cry:

Try me i am 25 here and live WNW of Philly in Delaware County. My heart is just so strong b ut gets beaten up all the time by the sports teams. Kinda bad no offense when a Horse is the key player in the City. I know i am 25 and was 1 when the Phillies won the world series. And 4 when the 76ers won the NBA Championship in 83. But to me those do not count to me personally even though they do to others that had remembered it and saw it and expeiranced it. I would love to see a Flyers Stanley Cup winning team. Or an Eagles Super Bowl win. All ya'll have no clue unless you have lived here and felt it year in and year out. Alot of the people around here are driven by the sports teams. Only one can hope and Pray. Heck a Broad Street Parade would be so awsome. This city would go nutz if we ever won. Been to darn long since we won a Championship a whole new Generation a big gap there. So unlike cities like Atlanta and Detriot and Denver and Dallas this city might errupt and be mass chaos. Alot of us have yet to really see and or experiance a Major Sports team win it all. Not say other cities do or dont but still when you have all the major sports teams in the City its harder yet. Anywho GO FLYERS. GO SMARTY JONES.

I was old enough to see the phillies win the World Series and the 76er's win the Championship. I think that we have alot to look forward to in this city sports wise.

Yes i agree. But still being 25 has such a disadvantage and such an advantage as well. Hey i know it might sound wrong ok. But i want it now not later thing. I can live happy for years if we win now. Give me something to grasp. Yes a Horse is nice to have but still its a whim thing a flap in the winds of the air. But the Flyers and Eagles and the 76'ers and the Phillies are the true sports teams here. I dislike the Phillies the sport itself makes a sour taste in my mouth sorta thing. But you get my point. I want to see it happen not hear stories of the past when they actually did win. I want to have my own story and share within it.

I am so sick and tired of hearing and also saying always next year. Thats like a big slap in the face everytime.
