Yes. It's annoying seeing the floater on South Florida when nothing is there. :grr:

 Talk about "great minds!" The request to focus IR Floater 1 on the Caribbean was sent early this morning!

Hopefully, it will be redirected soon.

#8 Postby OuterBanker » Wed May 19, 2004 12:41 pm

Seems like se fla always floater 1. Floater 2 is the front in the ne (real chance of tropical development there.eh?) You would think that they would change one of them to central america, but what do I know.

Wondering if my "floater" folks have the day off. Usually there is a response to a request by now. I'll resend.

I did submit a second request to the IR Floater people. Is it possible they don't focus floaters until June 1?

Haven't there been out of season floaters before. Didn't Hurricane Caterina and tropical storms Odette and Peter get floaters?

Hey can you send in a request Dixie to get them to move the storm floater to the new area of convection SW of Puerto Rico. It would be nice. Thanks

I would, but I found last season that trying to get change of focus during a weekend is just about impossible. I will request, though, and hope it gets done before the low becomes a high
