LOW-LEVEL TROUGH... SCREAMING EAGLE...MOVING WNW OVER THE W ATLANTIC NE OF HISPANOLA ALONG 68W FROM 20N-25N.SHOWER/THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY HAS BEEN ON THE INCREASE AND THIS SYSTEM WILL LIKELY AFFECT THE TURKS/CAICOS AND S PORTIONS OF THE BAHAMAS LATER TODAY.

Ok someone explain what is screaming eagle. :?:

It's a bird with a big owie...that's screaming and flapping causing a major disturbance in the skys. Kinda like screaming hurricanes when they get the big spinning hole in the middle of thier tummy..poor things.. :lol: :lol: :roll:

From my handy dandy " I am learning" reference gui...

Cloud pattern so named because some observers maintain they can see the head of an eagle facing west in these cloud patterns. The pattern is similar to a comma, only the pattern is disorganized and not solid. Weather associated with screaming eagles consists of rain showers and gusty surface winds up to about 25 knots. The eagles can intensifv and enlarge when moving into areas east of troughs; in that case, intense thundeF storms can develop. Screaming eagles are common in the Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and the equator and are uncommon in the western Atlantic.
