Two new storms develop in W Pacific, Nida still lingers

#1 Postby FWBHurricane » Sun May 16, 2004 1:59 am

Two new Tropical Depressions have formed in the western Pacific. One is just east of Vietnam moving N at 5mph. The other is a few hundred miles due east to the southern island of The Philippines movinf East at 9mph. Both are expected to become tropical storms in the next 24 hours. The one in the Philippines is expected to strengthen to a category one and strike just south of Cebu, Philippines in less than 3 days. The one near Vietnam..will continue northward. Its too soon to tell but it looks like China might be in its path...slowl strengthening is likely. Typhoon Nida is as strong as ever, with winds at 130mph gusting to over 150mph. She is continueing on a NW track, edging dangerously closer to the Northern Islands of The Philippines. It looks like The Pilippines are getting pounded, and is not going to be given a break. Pleas post what you think of my updates and forcasts. Thanks 8-)
