Are there any free hurricane tracking programs that not only show the actual storm position, but plot sall of the different model runs.
I had one last season, but cannot remember its name and I no longer have it. Maybe it was stormtrakker? I received all of the data directly off of the internet.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Tracking the Eye
Yep it's free if you track yourself, but worth every penny for auto tracking and updates. Owned it for years with multiple years costing less than 10 dollars a year. You actually register to get the auto tracking and posting, as well as advisories, etc. It's around 25 the first time, and that's a real bargain. Every cord is automatically downloaded at one click. They seem to upgrade every year (with an new major upgrade this year) with upgrades not costing a thing. Not enough accolades for Tracking the Eye. By comparison Hurr Track which most EOC's use the base software costs 380.00, pro model 1,060.00, global model 1,800.00 with yearly auto update cost of 340.00 (when I was in Dare County's EOC during Dennis they used it). Granted hurrtrack does a lot more (slosh, shape and size, risk, etc.) but it is beyond most budgets (unless you can use taxpayer funds). I just wish that all of my software updates were as frequent and cheap.

The new upgraded version has street level satellite mapping. I love tracking the eye!!!!!!! I wish it plotted the models thoughOuterBanker wrote:Yep it's free if you track yourself, but worth every penny for auto tracking and updates. Global tracks is a good one-it shows model info and plots the wind swath .
Download here http://www.extremewx.com/
Patch makes it free here. Patch the 6.0 version before updating to 6.11.

Also when clicking the global tracks link on that page, have pop up blocker and repeatedly say NO on the security warning download box (its spyware or a virus) and wait on the normal download box for the zip file that says open/save/cancel-thats the box you want and click save.
