BERGEN COUNTY IN NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY
ESSEX COUNTY IN NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY
* UNTIL 415 PM EDT
* THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL BE NEAR...
LYNDHURST AND RUTHERFORD AROUND 355 PM
MOONACHIE AND TETERBORO AROUND 410 PM
RIDGEFIELD AND FORT LEE AROUND 415 PM
Strong to severe storms with rainfall rates of 2-3 inches per hour can be expected in NYC over the next hour or two. Not a good situation for evening rush hour.
Teterboro west of NYC saw 1/2 inch of rain in 10 minutes. That will cause flooding with rates of locally 3 inches an hour with that type of rainfall rate.
