Yep, severe thunderstorm warning just issued for Jefferson County (Beaumont). I posted it in the severe weather warnings thread. It's pouring right now and the heavier line isn't here yet. I just hope I don't lose electricity. It's actually gone out less often since I threatened them with their lives on Thanksgiving. (a wee bit exaggeration)
Yeah duckie, that was it...The Electric Company. I couldn't remember. It comes on a channel my sister gets on satellite.

Happy to report all is well at the abode. Obvious that hail and wind were involved in the storm at the home site. Had 1.78" out of the system so far today. Hopefully anything else will be light rain. Gusts to 36 mph recorded all over the area.

Booming thunder starting again in the past five minutes or so. Also, and completely unrelated-it makes me REALLY nervous to see 5 military helicopters fly over my house in a 3 minutes time span.
It was bad here for a bit too. Wind was blowing hard, small branches falling and heavy, sideways rain. There's more building and heading in this direction, some of it looks very heavy.

Looks like another round in store for the east-side of Houston. Also, katdaddy check your link it wouldn't work for me and I would enjoy seeing some pictures.
