April a much busier tornado month...

#1 Postby wx247 » Sun May 02, 2004 5:29 pm

Keep in mind these are just prelim numbers, but...

April saw 104 tornadoes. We had 8 tornado deaths this month as well, which is higher than 03,02,or 01.

Stay safe and remember... it only takes one...

I'm assuming most of those tornadoes and tornado deaths occured in the Illinois outbreak. An "unexpectedly" active month to some of our more unfortunate colleagues. *cough* SPC *cough*
