Putting the house sale in motion.

I have the signed contract here along with the deposit check here. May be out of here by mid May. Brothers are coming from NC the 14th to help me move. Any advice on which truck to rent? Ryder or U-Haul?

Uhaul stinks. The trucks are older and have wheel wells which takes up room in the cargo hold. Go with Budget or ryder  Their trucks are newer and more spacious. Budget has trucks available with lift gates. That comes in handy for the heavy items. http://budgettruckrental.com/

I agree with Johnathan!! I've used Budget the last two times I've moved stuff and been very happy! Even got a bigger truck than I needed last time because the place didn't have the size I had reserved.

That leaves out Ryder. They don't do one way trips.

We drove a 24-foot Ryder from Illinois to Arizona in the summer of 1997. It made the trip fine.

We chose to have some friends drive with us...we paid their airfare back to Illinois when we were done. We were able to take turns driving that way.

Good luck with the move. Yuk...that is NO fun!

Friend who is doing the closing said she would tell them to put a rush on it.
:woo: I told her my brothers will be coming down the 14th to help me move. I told her we need to close by the 14th. I hope she gets it done.

UHaul is the most expensive, by a large margin...which is stupid...last time we needed a truck, I think we went with Ryder...
