It's that season again

#1 Postby coriolis » Fri Apr 30, 2004 8:41 pm

I'm not talking about hurricane season, or tornados, or even thunderstorm season.
I'm talking about crowds, loud music, screaming, a multitude of smells, sights, and sounds, a veritable sensory extravaganza. And the people: all shapes and sizes, many in ill-fitting attire; teenagers, like sunfish, flitting about in small groups; whining kids dragging around sullen parents; people that make you wonder what institution they just got out of; other people who shoud be barred from reproducing; hucksters, smelly people in leather vests, show offs, and every other variation of human fauna. And now the latest in technological annoyances - people wandering around talking about nothing on cell phones!

We are talking Carnival Season!

We just got back from the first carnival of the season here. One down, two to go. Kids had a good time, I'm glad to be home.

"LOL @ Ed!" I know......tourist season is just now starting up here, with temps forecasted to CRACK the 100° mark in Phoenix, Tucson, weekends are NUTZ up here, gotta admit though, it's NICE seeing different scenery ( ie....thin women dressing with as LITTLE as possible "LOL!") instead of the *Home Grown* gals, and I "DO" mean home *GROWN!*

If we had to ask who handled the deep fried elephant ears before we actually ate them, we would never spend the money!

The Carson and Barnes Circus was nearby over the weekend. I think Cirque de Soliel is still here, too.

The animals are mostly normal, but....
