Yes, I've had it, and you need to stay home and in bed, (like you feel like doing anything else), and try to sleep as much as you can til it's over...Wish I knew more...

Main thing is to NOT get dehydrated. Try some emetrol to calm the nausea, etc. Suck on ice chips. If you start feeling your heart race, go to the hospital so they can give you an i.v. and a shot of phenergan. I've been there. Ended up in the hospital for almost 8 hours. Not fun. I'll think happy thoughts for you. Crackers might help as well.

Actually, with me at least, I was better in about 48 hours. IF you can keep it down, try gatorade, since it has electrolytes. Stay away from caffeine as it causes peristalsis (spelling) which is further spasms in you stomach.

Back when I was in the 7th grade, my mom might've gotten food poisoning from the way she was vomiting, I don't know what she ate, but I'm glad that she is still alive. She was glad too. I don't remember what kind of medicine she took though.

Other than feeling weak from the possible deydration, you should be better by early next week. If not...see the doc and find out why not.

It is not a good time.

Lots of clear liquids for a few days..as Suzi said dont get dehydrated. If you cant hold the liquids down then a trip to the hospital is on order.
