For comedies, Taxi and the old Honeymooners. I have to think about serious show. Paper Chase was outstanding.

When i was little i would watch Nick at Nite all the time. My favorite shows to watch and still probably watch (if they still showed it) would be "Get Smart". Agent 86 and 99 were so funny. And what about agent 13 (or was it 7) that kept getting stuck in teh worst of the worst hiding places

Best show of ALL time? Wow, that's so hard to nail down.....but I'll give it a go.

My all time favorite TV show is still the Waltons.

That said, if I had to choose the best show of all time, sitcom wise, it's between these 5:

M*A*S*H
Mary Tyler Moore
Cheers
Andy Griffith
Friends (yes I know, it's a newer show but it will stand the test of time I believe and take it's rightful place among the greatest sitcoms every written)

Same here! It is nice to have it in syndication. The big cable superstations have it, plus our local FOX affiliate.

I would have to say "I Love Lucy". To this day, there isn't a comedien out there that beats her.

Another vote for M*A*S*H! Second, "Gunsmoke!" Which BTW.....was the LONGEST running drama in the history of modern day tv, 21 seasons if I'm not mistaken. Gotta LOVE that Festus!

Steph - I couldn't choose just one either! I think it comes down to personal choices, what point in your life you were a fan of a specific show, if you identified with the characters, etc. We could debate this all day. However we could come up with the Top 10 Sitcoms/Comedies of ALL time! And a separate list for Top 10 Dramas of ALL time.
