Bush:Last day for diplomacy is monday

#1 Postby cycloneye » Sun Mar 16, 2003 2:11 pm

http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/meast/03/ ... index.html

The 3 leaders of the coalition of the willing Bush,Blair and Aznar at the Azores summit said that diplomacy will be given 1 more day and if it not comes thru then an ultimatum may come.

So Finnally the waiting game is over and there are rumors that on monday night Bush will make a speech from the oval office to lay out an ultimatum so let's wait for that.

So now let's roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ground troops have already been ordered to surround Baghdad. And to await the final "go ahead" for G-day. Sounds to me like it will not be long now. That is a major move for the ground troops.

Saddams son Uday will be in charge of the elite republican guards that will defend Bagdad and I think that this move by Saddam to apoint his son there is to make urban warfare.

But this week we will see the US go in and roll them I hope with minimal casualties.

will there be war, or will bush bribe a country to take saddam and his henchmen. i feel he will guarantee saddam immunity even though he made him out to be hitler jr. this will serve to destabilize the middle east for the forseeable future, allow saddam to fund terrorism from comfy exhile, make saddam a rallying point for anti-american opinion everywhere, make him a hero, and leave him as a threat to return to iraq, or at least his sons. remeber. bush is only saying he will "arrest" saddam if he doesnt leave iraq with his billions.
what i am most afraid of is that bush will once again stab the iraqi opposition in the back as his father did, resulting in thousands of deaths back in 91. this is a time to excise saddam from the earth forever. exhile will only make the middle east and iraq extremely unstable. no half measures president bush. dont repeat the mistakes of your dad!!

absolute immunity for any crimes they committed if they go into exhile, this will be a disaster of monumental proportions as i have previously stated. unconditional surrender is what bush should announce, otherwise, saddam and his sons and his henchmen will be around for years.

Here we go again...Rainstorm, the only ones talking about offering Saddam exile are Arab countries and even they don't want him! You offer only unfounded wild expectations with absolutely no supporting evidence.

How do you say the Bush Sr abandoned the Iraqi opposition in 91. There is absolutely no basis in fact. The goal of the 91 war was to remove Saddam from Kuwait, nothing more and nothing less. This was done in remarkable fashion with minimal loss of life on the coalition side. The establishment of the northern and southern no-fly zones was done to offer the opposition protection.

Before you continue to post such drivel please check your facts!
