Yes history was made last year as Ana formed as the first storm in april.But no repetition this year of that event however 2004 can have a may storm but time will tell if we will see Alex before june 1 however I lean towards after june 1 for Alex to form.

That was the first ever tropical cyclone to form in Apri, in the north Atlantic! Very Amazing storm.

It was interesting to see Ana form at this time of year. It will not happen this year though! Still this season should be busy!

Ah Ana! That was the first storm that ever formed out of season for me, at least in my memory. I remember seeing the Special Tropical Distubance Statement and thinking, what is this a test? Then, when I saw the satellite loop, I was really P.O. with NHC for not naming it. Let's hope there are some cool (the ones where no one gets hurt) surprises this year.
