Hello again everyone! :)

Good luck with your eye, Rob. It seems to me you could use a nice stretch where nothing goes wrong!

Enjoy your spring break, Garrett. 8)

Dennis - I hope your foot starts feeling good very soon!

pojo wrote:Norristown, PA. I'm leaving Saturday sometime in the late afternoon, possibly around 5pm. Its about a 17 hour drive from Green Bay to Norristown.

Norristown is literally about 20 minutes from where I live. So I can tell you that it will be pretty warm on Sunday and into next week. High temps near 60 on Sunday and then in the 50's for early next week. So will you be doing any site-seeing in Philadelphia?

TGIF everyone! :D

Well...just got back from the dealership and dropped the car off. The tow truck driver arrived after I did some snowblowing in 15 degrees! At least the snow melts with the angle.

Anyhow, the driver whacked me $25 just to stick his arm in and manually shift it to park so I could start the damn car.....stupid safety features! lol I got it warmed and paid him and didnt need a lift which wouldve cost me $50.

Then I come back outside and forgot I closed the door and the keys were in the ignition and the car running and idling in drive....lol with the doors locked! My spares are unknown and I had to bang on my sunroof and unlatch it to get in with a snow scraper to unlock the door.

Many a time I have to do that trick to get my keys out....any other time I could stick a coat hanger through the sunroof and fish them from the ignition...but I wouldnt be able to start the car again w/o assistance! Damn safety features again!

So here I sit waiting for the assessment for the car and a call from the eye place on how much it'll all cost me. At least its a nice day out today as cold as it is and things are looking better and getting fixed....and thats all I can ask for!

Well, I still don't have a job!! Now the decision is being put off till Tuesday at least. Seems that all 3 candidates-we know I am the best!!!-have a "weakness"(moi?)somewhere and they need to decide who would benefit them the most(AIN'T THAT OBVIOUS??!!!). Truth is money is the issue here and whoever they think they can get the most out of the cheapest is who the boss will pick. I know him and that is where this is really at with him. IMO, it is back to the drawing board because I do not want to work where everything is cheaped out, which may be the reality here, even though it was presented as "using the latest". I have sone my best and that's all I can do! I know God is in control here and I need to let it go, and LET GOD!!

Excuse the venting!! I'M FRUSTRATED!! :grrr: :grrr: :grrr: :grrr: :grrr:

Rob. my man, take good care of that eye!!! Ya know(daddy type person speaking), maybe the strain of trying to read what you thought you posted is causing a problem???? Maybe it is time to rest the puppy for a few?? OK, off the fatherly advice box. Hope all is resolved soon with that eye and any other issues you are dealing with!!

Dennis, I know about that foot stuff!! PATIENCE is of the utmost importance here!! And it is MOST FRUSTRATING for active types such as you and I!!! Take care and listen to ole Sawbones, he does know best!!

Everyone else have a GREAT DAY AND WEEKEND!!! WHAT A GREAT FAMILY WE HAVE HERE!!

Hang in there David, and keep us posted. The right one will come at the right time.

Rob - At least you know your car is hard to steal with all those safety features. lol

Garrett - It's better to change your mind now than when you're 40. Enjoy your spring break!

Shannon - Have a safe trip and a great week. We'll save you a seat at the S2K Ladies Bar.

I'm bummed that I missed all the jello shots and fun last night, ladies. We need another computer around here! Too many other things getting in the way, like the kids' school projects, the husband doing taxes, and junk like that. I'll try to stumble over there tonight.

Happy Friday everyone!

Evening everyone! Whew... I am so glad it is the weekend. I am so tired from running errands in Joplin, since I won't be there for about a week.

We had a guest speaker in Human Communication class today that had worked as a news person in Indonesia for the last 11 years. She was a very interesting person.

I was talking with my advisor today after class... looks like I will be taking a lot of classes next semester. Yeesh... no more 12 or 15 hr. semesters for me. I am talking more like 18 or 21. Oh well... guess it is time to enjoy Spring Break!

Have a great evening everyone and a great weekend as well.

To Do List...

#1038 Postby azskyman » Fri Mar 14, 2003 8:24 pm

Hello all,

Rob...I've seen you rebound from things much worse. This one should be a piece of cake for you!

OK...so Bingo in the Quad Cities! I spent 50 years up the Rock River from you near Rockford. Plenty of bingo going on there too! Don't forget to fuel up those daubers!!! Is that ink up to $2 a gallon?

David...yours has been quite a journey. Keep the faith, but mostly keep your self respect.

I moved to Phoenix at age 51 without a job; without my wife and family. Lived in a hotel for 6 weeks while looking for work. Discovered then that opportunity was what I needed, not necessarily equal pay from my Illinois days. Once in the door, I thought, I have plenty of confidence in who I am...what I stand for...to quickly move further down the road. I needed a chance more than I needed a specific job.

And that, in fact, is what has happened here. Not by accident. But rather by being positive and staying true to myself and those around me.

I took a $9,000 cut the first year...a time of reflection and tender care. A bit of a lifestyle adjustment.

By understanding that the first step may be one that is down, realize there are others that lead upward...even at the tender age of 51!

Look at the job in terms of that opportunity for you. If it doesn't exist in that form, then it is not the door you are looking for.

And yes, God answers in a variety of ways but rarely where we look. Oh, how I struggle to remember that!

azskyman (and wife and family now happily enjoying and appreciating the desert southwest!)

HEY STEVE, Welcome to the PBS, storm2K style. I stop by here some, not as often as I should, I mean they named a forum after the PBS!

Getting ready to be pounded once again, we so need the snow, ya know, even after ALL that snow from the last whopper, it's DRY already, can you believe that??? I mean, 51" of snow here at the house, 32" around town and it's dry??? It's gonna be a LOOOONG, DRY summer I'm afraid!

Hey, azskyman! Glad to see you gathered around the stove!
Have a KK and kick back...the conversation is fun, and, we enjoy
our times together, even if folks just pop in when they're in a
hurry! You know how family does that, sometimes...LoL! :ggreen:

I know that David appreciates your words - we all want the
best for David and his family, and, strong words of encouragement
will help to see them through!
