Nice look at Bermuda high setting up shop

#1 Postby hurricanetrack » Tue Apr 13, 2004 12:00 am

Check out the link below. It is the GFS animation from tonight's 00UTC run. Towards the end of the loop- once all the garbage gets out of there weather-wise, look how the Bermuda high really settles in and even links up some with another high SW of the Azores. Then- look south of the two high centers- notice the swath of trade winds set up going all the way across the Atlantic.

Indeed, we are getting closer and closer to that magical time of year...

Yes it is transition time in the tropics from the northern latitud systems to the deep tropics ones like tropical waves. It wont be too far away in time when we will see the first tropical wave analized by TPC.

yep, i have a funny feeling about that ridge this year... thinking it is going to be a bit stronger this season than the past few... Florida could be a hot spot shoud that happen... Something we will have to wait and see about... not much longer now..

Thats what I often ponder, that the Bermuda High is going to be a bit stronger & send those canes that usually recurve on a continued Wwrd track right into my neck of the woods.

Well I indeed hope that will not be the case!
