Which storm will be the "annoying" one to follow this year? You know, that one storm that might either just keep hanging on when it should be about dead or, like Claudette last year, makes you think your forecasts are all right and then, POOF! you're wrong.
Past "annoying" storms since 2001 (correct me if I'm wrong):
2001: Allison
2002: Kyle
2003: Claudette
What will it be this year? Right now, I say Frances.

Earl will be a Subtropical Wanderer in the middle of August. You are dead on for the past three years, though Olga was a close second in 2001. Why stop there? IMO, 2000's was Florence. Alberto was crazy, but he was a Cape Verde, and they hang around a while. Plus, his intensity forecast was dead on. 1999's was Dennis. 1998's was Lisa. She didn't move where they said she would, she was supposed to dissipate but she became a hurricane! 1997's was Danny, though there was little else. 1996's was Lili. She never ended! 1995's was Roxanne. That's all for me.
