A funny thing happened on the way out of Target

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Thu Mar 25, 2004 2:01 pm

Well.. This is something I have never seen before..

Last night me and a friend went over to Target because I was going to spend my money I had saved and buy myself a bicycle. I had saved up 76 dollars.

The coins were all wrapped up nicely and they were all neat as well. I had about 44 dollars in bills that was also neatly together.

I got to the register and the girl who was there told me the total "$73.20"

So.. I gave her the bag with the wrapped coins in it.. and she actually INSISTED ON OPENING ALL THE WRAPPERS AND COUNTING IT HERSELF!

She had to recount the money about 5 TIMES! By the time she finally got done counting.. all she could say was "Sorry it took so long.."

I called the Target manager this morning and she said "That was not right.. she {the employee} should have just taken the coin wrappers and counted them at the end of her shift"..

She also said she may have to retrain some of her employees. lol

Oh.. and if you're wondering.. The bike is a 26 inch Magna {by Huffy} Great Divide Roadclimber

Don't take it personally. You wouldn't believe how many people are dishonest these days, so they have to check everyone closely.
