Do you believe?
Not to turn this into a religious forum, thread, debate BUT.....do you believe we are living in the end times? I myself, yes....I honestly believe we ARE nearing the end of times as we know it. It is written, "Near the end, God will POUR out his spirit and we will see a revival in the Body of Christ!" We have seen that since 9/11 and continue to see a growth of ppl turning to God for answers. I don't know if it's THAT close or not but I do know ONE THING, it's time to get right with God!

Not in my lifetime...too many matters that HAVE to be in place aren't (such as the building and dedication of the third Temple, which is not likely to take place until Israel holds the Temple precincts, free from Islamic influence long enough to rebuild it...which would take between 20-30 years to accomplish).

No because I do not believe that we have underwent the tribulation and the millenium as of yet. Now, there is a chance that we have already went through the millenium, though I don't think this was the case (with the tribulation being the plague).
One thing I will state, I believe that Islam is the anti-Christ discussed in Revelations

While what you say is true JQ, like I said, the focus of the entire world is on the Middle East like never before!! Jerusalum will be surrounded, waiting for the final conflict.
Please don't get me wrong, I am NOT an alarmist, I simply think it's time to get right with God, focus on the last great commandment, "Love one another!"

I do beleive we are headed down that road Dennis. God's time is not ours and he will come as a theif in the night... (no one knows the time or hour)
has anyone read the left behind series? the paralles in the books with those of the current UN situation, the call for nuclear disarmament are all eerily similar. I do beleive it will happen before the generation who saw Israel claim Jeruselem in 1948 is gone.
If you do believe in the rapture, I strongly recommend this series of books and to anyone with an interest in prophetic Revelations.

Well, I do not believe in the "rapture", since it was unknown in Christian thought until 1878, when it was proposed by some obscure cleric in England, and summarily picked up by Swedish evangelicals who brought it into the U.S. and elsewhere.
My point is, IF this were the truth, how did it manage to escape the notice of so many of the great theologians...Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, John Duns Scotus, Luther, Calvin, Knox, Zwingli, Erasmus, et al, for over 1870 years? Why so long in the "discovery", and why so prevalent today?

If the world were to end tomorrow, what would you do differently?
Now, why aren't you living life that way everyday?
*pause a good minute to think about that*
Amanzi is right... we do not know the day or hour which he will come again...
Should life as we know it cease to exist tomorrow, then I accept and acknowledge the time I have had here on earth, and will willingly be held accountable for all that I have done (and not done) in what time I've been gifted with from God, regardless of how long that is...

Very true. And it's always time to get right with God, regardless of situations going on in the world. Any one of us could die in a car wreck or whatever at any time. I sure hope not, but stuff like that happens. We don't want to take tomorrow for granted. <<Hug>> that family and all your friends.
I read something once that said, "live like Jesus died yesterday, rose today, and is coming back tomorrow." If you haven't asked Jesus into your life, there's no better time than now.
