In fact some cooling has taken place at el nino 1-2 area off southamerica and no warm spots are seen at el nino 3 zone but let's see if those are fluctuations or are trends.As in the past update was mentioned the kelvin wave that formed in january in the WPAC moving east lost it's punch and no longer has any effect on the anomalys in the equatorial pacific.
